Nick Jonath, also known as MC1R, Cortin, Sphärenwandler, and tEuTon, is an industrial and EBM project that was born in 1994 when Jonath first purchased electronic sound generators and began experimenting with them. Inspired by a newspaper article discussing the MC1R gene, which is only found in red-headed individuals, Jonath chose the name MC1R for his project. In 1999, Jonath moved to Erfurt, Thüringen, and in 2005 he moved to Essen, Pottländ. Throughout the years, Jonath has released several albums, participated in various remix and compilation projects, and performed live. In 2010, Jonath founded the project Sphärenwandler with … , focused on soundtrack, film music, electronica, IDM, and ambient genres. Currently, Jonath is working on new MC1R material, but first he will be releasing the new “tEuToNical visions” CD.
